Tricksmith Games believes in the power of play and the beauty of creativity. My first product, BreathAnchor, helps people slow down, breathe deeply, and be present. Next, I'm bringing that same thoughtful design to new experiences: a card game that connects people, books that pass on history, and PotteryFlow, a studio companion that helps makers stay focused and inspired. I'm on a mission to make life more engaging, organized, and inspiring—one idea, one game, and one project at a time.

Background

Founded in 2024, Tricksmith Games began with a simple idea: to create products that blend the warmth of tradition with the possibilities of modern technology. Our journey started with Twenty-Five, a beloved Irish card game reimagined for the digital age, which will launch alongside a beautifully crafted companion rulebook.

Our second project, PotteryFlow (scheduled for release in June 2025), is designed to help pottery enthusiasts track, organize, and stay inspired throughout their creative process. As we continue to refine and prepare our upcoming launches, we remain focused on building thoughtful experiences that bring people together and add a touch of play to everyday life.

The Team

James Boyle is the founder and driving force behind the company — leading everything from product design and UI/UX to coding and strategic planning. With more than 13 years of experience in San Francisco’s tech industry, James has built and led successful mobile game projects as a product manager and team leader. His work blends creative vision with hands-on execution, turning bold ideas into polished, real-world products.
