Getting Started

How do I connect WristLevels to my Sonos system?

1. Open WristLevels on your iPhone
2. Tap "Authorize with Sonos"
3. Sign in with your Sonos account credentials (this happens directly through Sonos)
4. Grant WristLevels permission to control playback
5. Your speakers will automatically load and sync to your Apple Watch

Do I need my iPhone nearby to use the Apple Watch app?

After initial setup, WristLevels works independently on your Apple Watch. You don't need your iPhone nearby to control volume.

Using WristLevels

How do I control volume?

• Apple Watch: Use the Digital Crown to adjust volume smoothly, or tap the Vol+ and Vol- buttons for quick adjustments. You can also tap the current volume to bring up a number pad.
• Widget: Add the WristLevels widget to your home screen for quick volume controls

How do I mute/unmute?

Tap the Mute button on either the Apple Watch or iPhone app. The button shows the current mute state.

How do I switch between rooms or speakers?

• Apple Watch: Tap the current room name at the bottom of the screen to open settings, then select a different room
• iPhone Widget: Hold down on the Widget, and tap to edit it. Then select the speaker.

What if I have grouped speakers?

WristLevels automatically detects speaker groups created in the Sonos app. When you select a grouped room, volume changes apply to all speakers in that group.

Troubleshooting

The app says "Open iPhone App to Connect"

• Open WristLevels on your iPhone
• Make sure you've authorized with Sonos
• Wait a moment for the data to sync to your Apple Watch
• If still having issues, try the "Check Again" button on your watch

My speakers aren't showing up

• Make sure your speakers are powered on and connected to your network
• Try tapping "Reload Sonos Data" in the iPhone app
• Verify your speakers appear in the official Sonos app
• If you just added new speakers or changed groupings, reload the data to refresh the list

Volume changes aren't working

• Check that your speaker is online in the Sonos app
• Make sure you have an internet connection
• Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Sonos account
• Verify the speaker isn't being controlled by another app or device

The Apple Watch app isn't syncing with my iPhone

• Make sure both devices are connected (check Bluetooth)
• Open the iPhone app to trigger a sync
• Restart both the iPhone and Apple Watch apps
• As a last resort, disconnect and reconnect your Sonos account

How do I disconnect my Sonos account?

• Open WristLevels on your iPhone
• Tap the "Disconnect" button at the bottom
• This will remove all data from both your iPhone and Apple Watch
• You can also revoke access through your Sonos account settings

Widget Setup

How do I add the WristLevels widget?

1. Long-press on your iPhone home screen
2. Tap the "Edit" button in the top left corner
3. Search for "WristLevels" or scroll to find it
4. Choose Small or Medium widget size
5. Add to your home screen

• All data stored locally on your devices
• Direct communication with Sonos API
• Secure OAuth token handling via encrypted cloud functions
• No persistent data collection or storage on our servers

What permissions does WristLevels need?

• Internet access: To communicate with Sonos
• Watch Connectivity: To sync between iPhone and Apple Watch

WristLevels does NOT access location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data.

Does WristLevels work offline?

No. WristLevels requires an internet connection to communicate with your Sonos system through the Sonos API.

Which Sonos devices are supported?

WristLevels supports all Sonos speakers that work with the official Sonos API, including Era, Arc, Beam, One, Five, Move, Roam, and some other models.
